Can you throw Boos? Like, if you can touch them, are they aerodynamic enough to toss around like a baseball?
Listen to me you little greyfaced glasses wearing COWARD if you think for one second you'll be tossing my Boos around like sports equipment-
Ahem. I mean-
Haven't you ever heard that curiosity killed the cat? Why don't you just go and ask Luigi? He's...thrown them around quite a bit.

you know those posts where cap’s seen as a dad figure? what if one of the reasons why the other superheroes think that way is because when league members bring up there kids or need cap to cover for them when their kids need them cap is just super understanding, empathetic and gets oddly proud of them for being with there for their kids
the actual reason why he’s like that is because billy just really values those things as an orphan and is proud to work with such great people
Whenever someone mentions or even breathes the implication of Cap being mistaken as a dad or seen as a father figure, I lose my marbles, because, oh cheese and crackers, I just can't express enough how much I adore this headcanon! I'm doin' a little happy dance :D
Billy Batson is someone who has always yearned and wished to be a part of a family again since his experience was cut short due to tragedy and made sour thanks to his uncle Ebeneezer being crusty dusty, so it's easy to see him respecting those who appreciate the family they have. He had to grow up and mature far faster than any kid his age, and compared to most adults, Billy is actually more mature and responsible than they are, unfortunately. It's reasonable to see that this would be reflected in Captain Marvel; someone who's immature at times, but ultimately a good-natured person with a golden heart and good intentions, who others can depend on anytime and anywhere (much to the sacrifice of his personal life).
Billy has been in enough foster homes at a young age to know the difference between a good parent and a rotten one, so seeing members of the league prioritize their family members and kids would make him really happy. He's the type to take on any shift or mission in the place of another member if they had something important to do with their family. What you said about him being very proud and empathetic towards parents in the league made me realize that Billy would have loved to have parents like them had his own not perished. In a way, he's not just proud of them, but a little bit envious.
This also brings up another headcanon of mine, where Captain Marvel is the unofficial designated babysitter of the league when emergencies come up. Because despite not knowing who he is/his secret identity, people trust him enough to let him know theirs. Like, it all starts with the Captain in the watchtower break room drinking apple juice, and is suddenly bombarded with a group of children or sidekicks being thrown at him by the other heroes, saying that the Captain was in charge while they were away before teleporting away.
All these kids and teenagers that he suddenly has to help look after, and while Captain Marvel is calm on the outside, Billy Batson is freaking out on the inside. Some of those kids are older than he is, and there's some hilarity to it. Shenanigans ensue in the Captain Marvel: Adventures in Babysitting day, but it all turns out okay in the end. As a kid, Billy would know how to talk to them and keep them busy with fun/educational stuff. Might even teach them a thing or two about good morals, manners, archeology, or ancient magic stuff.
I imagine some of those kids would want to be babysat by him again, and Billy would welcome it (with warning ahead of time). Captain Marvel is just someone people like being around with his good dad vibes. Some of them even ask if he has kids of his own, but are met with an empty room immediately as the man zooms off whenever people ask him questions about family.
Gosh I went rambling again, but I loved this ask!

oh yeah that’s totally my bad… it’s really causing problems actually just ask the butches who live here

Hey GT! Totally fine if you ignore this, and I apologize if you get asks like this a lot as I'm sure they can be irksome, but I was wondering if you'll ever feel comfortable revealing anything about yourself? Even if you keep it vague, I'm just so curious about where you're from (I think you have said you're in the US lol) your age and things like that. I know there are certain things we'll never know and I think that's completely fine, just wondering if you think you'll ever tell us any small, even vague, details x
Oh, sure! For starters, I'm a vampire but my teeth are straight and white. I have pale white skin. I'm also a witch, and I go to a magic school called Hogwarts in England where I'm in the seventh year (I'm seventeen). I'm a goth (in case you couldn't tell) and I wear mostly black. I love Hot Topic and I buy all my clothes from there. For example today I was wearing a black corset with matching lace around it and a black leather miniskirt, pink fishnets and black combat boots. I was wearing black lipstick, white foundation, black eyeliner and red eye shadow. I was walking outside Hogwarts. It was snowing and raining so there was no sun, which I was very happy about. A lot of preps stared at me. I put up my middle finger at them.

Hello Guild Wars 2 community! A new poll has dropped! 🐦‍⬛
Tumblr media
(At least, hopefully new, lol.) I'm curious, which blessing did your Commander get on their first/canon go through the Raven Sanctum in the story mission "The Invitation?" Choose and tell me in the tags why they made their specific decisions :)
Compiled explanations from the wiki below for ease of access:
The trial choices in order:
Save the wounded man or save the healers
Save the spell tome or save the historical record
Save the queen or save the prince
Blessings:
Blessing of Daybreak
"When the fear of beastly claws and a child's pain is made sharp by the knowledge of elders, we make no mistakes. But do we grow?"
Healers -> historical record -> prince
Grace of Dawn
"When wisdom is favored in all things—a healing hand, a text of old, a beloved queen—we lose the sharpened sword of the truly bold."
Healers -> historical record -> queen
Consecration of Morning
"We seek to destroy monsters with sharp claws and icy breath, but do we protect ourselves from the beasts shaped like us, who prey on the young and vulnerable, who seek to rule us?"
Healers -> spell tome -> prince
Invocation of Midday
"When we flee from the things we fear most - the teeth of beasts, the storm of a dragon, a change of power-we risk running backward."
Healers -> spell tome -> queen
Supplication of Midday
"We favor the skill of healers and the wisdom of elders over the uncertainty of the future. But the young take chances, and the young push us forward."
Wounded man -> spell tome -> prince
Consecration of Evening
"We long for the comfort of a healing touch, an ancestral word of wisdom, a leader we know and trust. But comfort is fleeting, and with it comes inertia."
Wounded man -> historical record -> queen
Grace of Dusk
"We sacrifice so much—safety from the claws of death, knowledge of the ages, a steadfast reign—to propel ourselves forward. But if we move too fast, do we risk the inability to stop?"
Wounded man -> spell tome -> prince
Blessing of Twilight
"We try so hard to do the right thing. We heal, we protect our people, we preserve stability. But we cannot control how the winds of fate may shift, and a tight grip can sometimes hurt more than it helps."
Wounded man -> spell tome -> queen
#guild wars 2#gw2#icebrood saga#the invitation#raven sanctum#gw2 ask game#ask game#dash game#character poll#gw2 commander#ibs spoilers#As for mine: Invocation of Midday because Mael values a winning hand by any means necessary. Making choices where the few may have to die so#that more survive in saving the healers#valuing the present victory in saving the spell tome since forgoing the present war will only mean there is no future to preserve#and saving the queen because an immature heir is worse than a stranger hopefully elected by the people#In my personal hc of this mission Raven specifically takes note of how ruthless his answers were and asks if he'd really do anything to#secure a winning hand. From letting the wounded man die for the sake of the healers to letting a child heir die to preserve a nation. It's a#trick question as everything is with Raven but he finally answers Yes. To which Raven comments#''Of course you would. You were even willing to sell your soul.''#This wreaks some havoc on party dynamics because nobody present knew the true extent of what Mael had to do to bring himself back to life :)#Whether his soul will actually be unable to pass on into the Mists... I shall see. But it makes for good thinking. and possible plot hook#for the party coming together to save him from his own doomed magic#Furthermore: Fuel for Rytlock angst because now he has real reason to think Mael would Not Hesitate and kill Ryland. And that he is lying#This doubt of Rytlock's (and Crecia's) Jormag of course capitalizes on#commander's musings

ok what is the best place to start for the BGT canon cuz it seems really cool but i feel like i'm missing some of the context and i really want to get into it
im gonna start publishing the actual comic sometime hopefully early next year, but i'd start by combing through the posts i've made about ryan wadham, circuit, cameron, aurora and such by looking their names up on my account or via the 'bleeding god theory' tag on my page!

What you refer with "Cassandra's misinformation"? The source clearly mentioned that she was cursed by the god that "loved" her. She was his loyal priestess and he punished because she rejected him or just because she promised and then broke that promise, but is pretty normal to not want to slept with him....? Apollo is clearly bad and problematic here so i don't know where is the "misinformation"?
Besides, Apollo is one of the most cruel gods, so is normal... And his relationship with women aren't the best. Aren't you read the Oresteia? What a mysoginist... But he saves his mother one time and "Oh, he is feminist", no... Don't try to defend a god who did many bad shit.
awwww look who’s never had a critical thought in their life, let alone applied it to another culture’s mythology!! ❤️
🫵 it’s you anon!! :DDDDD the egg is on your face!! Lmao show me your sources before talking shit about another culture’s god, a god you clearly have zero understanding or knowledge on :DDDDD

There's a really good feeling when you finally hit enough time between writing/finishing something and being able to read it again in an objective way, and I just got to that point with Rabbit Heart. Awww, my little love story, I am proud of you.
--Except oh shit, now I can see the typos again 🫣

YOU CAN'T HAVE THAT TITLE AND NOT EXPAND ON IT WDUM-
Proverbs 27:5 says, “Better is open rebuke than hidden love.” My personal interpretation of this is roughly “Let them be mad and just vibe, lmao.”
The “Yeah we gay, keep scrolling” thing is the embodiment of “Be mad, we don’t care”
Both are just “If you hate this relationship, to bad”

It's killing me that Lilia has spent a lot of time and money taking Silver to different medical mages/doctors to see exactly what's wrong with him and why he's so sleepy
When Idia was able to do a quick analysis on Grim and discover that he has a 1000 year old curse placed on him
STYX is literally the only place capable of giving him the answer he's been searching for

OMG WAIT! I have another similarity between The Underland Chronicles and Alice in Wonderland! I had completely forgotten about it, but Return to Regalia's reblog of please-help-this-little-lesbian post about Underland sounding like Wonderland reminded me of it! So credits to @please-help-this-little-lesbian for the inspiration and @returntoregalia for reminding me of it!
So, last semester in my critical thinking class I learned about the Katabasis model. The Katabasis model has 3 things to it. It begins with the protagonist having a crisis and falling into an underworld-like place. Then, they must pass through the underworld to reach their goal. Finally, they leave the underworld, having fulfilled their quest or goal, and often leave the underworld transformed.
First I am briefly going to go through Alice's story, and then compare it to Gregor's. This is Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, the book. As the story goes, Alice "falls" into Wonderland. Alice repeatedly runs into the issue that the Wonderland does not have the same set of rules/logic/public agreements that the real world does, and has multiple mental breakdowns about it.
(This is where things get a little weird and a bit hard for me to explain, so bear with me.) What I learned in Critical Thinking is that you can't find the world's set of rules/logic/public agreements within yourself also known as Semantic Internalism. In other words, Semantic Internalism is finding meaning with out external sources and only using your memories (Which is bad). The opposite of that is Semantic Externalism, which is means that meaning requires an external anchor and is not in the head. So Alice doesn't have external anchors anymore in Wonderland because everything is different. And I believe in Chapter 2 she has her first crisis where she realizes that if everything has changed, how does she know she hasn't changed. She starts trying to remember herself through memories(forced into Semantic Internalism) which is bad because memories can't self certify. She has another crisis later talking to the Caterpillar. In short, they asked her to recite a poem. She does, and the caterpillar says it's wrong. She can't use her memories to confirm the poem. Then she has a crisis of identy where if the poem is not the poem, then how can she be sure she is still Alice. Unfortunately, in the class that is as far we went into the book and we didn't talk about how Alice was changed by the end. On to The Underland Chronicles! Which I find this absolutely cool because I realized that TUC is 4-5 Katabasis models in one giant series long Katabasis model. Gregor falls into the Underland, and just like Alice he's in a whole new world. There's some overlap between the Overland and the Underland "rules" so he isn't forced into Semantic Internalism like Alice is, but he has his moments and is met with new rules and ways of speaking and slowly figures it all out. Gregor also experiences crisis and mental breakdowns multiple times because of this new world throughout the series leaving him completely changed by the end. He also helps fulfill a quest/prophecy every book, and fulfills his roll as The Warrior for the series at the end.
Tumblr media
Book 1: The intial crisis of this book and the entire series happens before the book even starts. When Gregor's father falls into the Underland is the initial crisis. Gregor then falls with Boots into the Underland. Is sent on a quest, faces mental and physical challenges, fulfills the prophecy, and returns for the first time back to the Overland, changed.
Book 2: This time the initial crisis is losing Boots in Central Park leading him to "fall" back into the Underland a second time. Another quest, even harder mental and physical challenges, fulfills the prophecy, and returns to the Overland a second time, changed.
Book 3: The intial crisis is the plague starting, and Gregor finding out that Ares has it. Once again, he "falls" into the Underland where there is another initial crisis of his mother getting the plague as well (I consider it a second initial crisis even if he has already "fallen"). Another quest and more physical challenges. But now the mental challenge is completely different from before. Sure, he had mental challenges with being the Warrior, but now he has to deal with being a rager, a natural born killer. Thus, having to control an aspect of himself he hates. He helps fulfill the prophecy, and he goes back to the Overland a third time, changed.
Book 4 & 5: I believe that book 4 and 5 are one Katabasis because the books themselves are like a part 1 and a part 2 to a large story. There is a question mark on the model because there might be another Katabasis of the questers going deeper into the earth through Hades Hall, but that might be a stretch. So, I think the initial crisis of books 4 and 5 is the first 3 books because they set up to this final story, or it is Gregor's mom getting the plague since that the reason he keeps visiting the Underland after book 3. I don't know what to consider the fall in book 4 since he's regularly in the Underland at this point and isn't forced. It could also be that the initial crisis is the return of Luxa's crown, making the "fall" them looking for the nibblers.
Then he experiences extreme physical challenges, and extreme mental challenges. One mental challenge leading him to develope and entire new sense(echolocation) he can use to navigate the Underland. He fulfills the last prophecy, and returns to the Overlanda final time, transformed. No longer the boy when he initially fell into the Underland, but a traumatized, mourning child soldier that fulfilled his role as The Warrior.
TL:DR TUC and Alice in Wonderland are both Katabasis model stories where a protaganist falls into the Underworld, completes a quest, and return to the Overworld transformed. TUC also has 4 Katabasis models in 1 larger Katabasis.
